Day 1:Tour of the Fun Filled Nashville

Go to One of the Largest Museums in the State at 10:00 am 

Tennessee State Capitol is where the State Museum is located. The Tennessee State Museum has the most amazing guided tours. It is closed on weekends. From prehistoric times to the Civil War, this museum covers them all. You can also enjoy a Trolley Hop on the Music City to check out the wonders of Tennessee in general and Nashville in particular.

Adventure Science Center is where the Action Shifts to at 11:00 am 

If you are passionate about science, you can explore the outer reaches of the space in this science center which even lets you do a bit of walking on the moon (in simulated settings of course) and you will also enjoy their amazing laser shows at Sudekam Planetarium. This center is open from 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening.

Check out some books at the Nashville Public Library at 12:00 noon

You can take in a good piece of written work or even enjoy the story times held by this library. The Nashville Public Library also hosts a bi-weekly puppet show which is free for all ages.

Get away from the heat into the cool climes of the Schermerhorn Symphony center which features a diverse variety of musical performances. If you want a bit of classical music, nothing can beat this Symphony Center. The Grammy award winning Nashville Symphony also performs here and you can savor the timeliness design of the finest concert hall in the US. There is a customized 3600 pipes concert organ at this centre.

Belle Meade Plantations grounds are perfect for those who want to get into the basics of thoroughbred racing at this horse breeding nursery. It also showcases the rich cultural past of the Music City.

This is a historical monument registered as a national monument for architecture and immense historic significance.

Check out the Largest Fortification by Union Troops at Fort Negley at 11:00 am

This is one of the most distinct fortifications formed by Civil War forces at Nashville. Admission to this historical site is free and there are some amazing exhibits and videos for you to enjoy.

Visit the George Dickel Distillery at 12:00 pm 

At noon, pay a visit to George Dickel Distillery where pure water is used for bottling and distilling the brew since the 1870s. You can also observe the entire process of fermenting and distilling at this distillery.

Go for a Tour at 2:00 pm 

The tours leave from Farmer’s Market and is the brainchild of the Jugg Sisters Sheri Lynn Nichols and Brenda Kay Wilkins. This 90 minute tour in the big pink bus is the perfect guide to Nashville, whether you want to check out the Music Row, Country Music Hall of Fame and Ryman Auditorium.

The ride to explore the rich historical and cultural legacy of Nashville continues with a visit to the Traveller’s Rest Plantation. Home of the Overton is located in the 4,000 square area of this plantation. Overton was the campaign manager for President Jackson.
